The Concrete Moisture Encounter X5 (CMEX5), is The Digital Multi Moisture Meter for Concrete designed and built by Tramex Meters for the specific needs of many industries including the Flooring, Water Damage Restoration, Inspection, Surveying and Indoor Air Quality industries. Bluetooth connection allows for continual development and integration of apps and reporting to accompanying IOS & Android App.
This Concrete Moisture Encounter has 4 measurement modes:
Non-destructive test (NDT) mode: The Tramex Concrete Moisture Encounter X5 is a non-destructive digital multi moisture meter for concrete floors and slabs providing instant and precise quantitative measurement of moisture content using Gravimetric testing as a baseline. The CMEX5 also provides Carbide Method equivalent readings for concrete and other cementitious substrates as well as comparative readings as per ASTM F2659.
Hygrometer mode: The built-in Ambient Relative Humidity Sensor measures Ambient Relative Humidity, Temperature, Dew Point, and Humidity Ratio (or Mixing Ratio) of the environment.
Equilibrium Relative Humidity mode (optional plug-in probe): Using the optional plug-in Hygro-i2 RH probes, the Concrete Moisture Encounter X5 will measure Equilibrium Relative Humidity, Temperature, Dew Point and Humidity Ratio in structural materials. A structural material such as a concrete slab can be tested using the in-situ method or RH Hood methods (International Standards: ASTM F2170 & BS 8201, 8203, 5325). Relative Humidity Probes can also be used for ambient RH measurements within air spaces.
PIN Meter mode (optional plug-in probe): The Concrete Moisture Encounter X5 becomes a resistance type meter and measures the percentage moisture content (%MC) of wood when used with the optional plug-in PIN meter. International wood standards or pre-programmed wood species can be selected. PIN meter mode can also be used for Drywall and WME (Wood Moisture Equivalent) readings for other materials.
The Concrete Moisture Encounter X5 detects and evaluates the moisture conditions within the slab or screed by non-destructively measuring the electrical impedance. A low frequency electronic signal is transmitted into the material under test via the electrodes in the base of the instrument. The strength of this signal varies in proportion to the amount of moisture present in the material. The Concrete Moisture Encounter X5 determines the strength of the current and converts this to a moisture content value for concrete slabs and a comparative value for other cementitious floor screeds, displayed on a large clear digital dial.

The Tramex Hygro-i2 ® Relative Humidity probe is the most advanced and resilient RH probe on the market today. Used in conjunction with the Tramex CMEX5, Feedback Datalogger RHTX, CMEX2 or MRH3 the Hygro-i2 ® probe provides measurements of humidity, temperature and dew-point in structural materials such as concrete flooring, walls etc. as well as the environmental conditions within the building structure allowing the user to perform in-situ & hood type RH testing to comply with ASTM F2170 & BS 8201,8203, 5325.
The Tramex 4.5" (110mm) Short Narrow Wand Relative Humidity Probe has a 4mm diameter and is ideal for taking Relative Humidity Readings in small or narrow crevices, in between tiles, and for the evaluation of moisture conditions of wall and cavity structures within the building envelope. The probe measures Relative Humidity, Temperature, Dew Point temperature and grains per pound (grams per kilo) humidity ratio. This thin probe is ideal for use by Flood and Water Damage Restoration as well as Building Survey professionals. The Tramex Relative Humidity Probes are the most advanced, resilient and re-usable RH probes on the market today, allowing the user to evaluate moisture conditions within the building structure and can be used with Tramex digital meters and DataLoggers. The speed and accuracy of the Tramex Hygro-i2® probes set them apart from all other RH probes on the market.
