The Flooring Installation Quick Check kits offer test instruments to perform a quick non-destructive moisture test at the time of installation that verifies whether both the moisture content of the slab and the ambient relative humidity conditions are conducive to lay a floor covering at that moment.
The Flooring Installation Quick Check Test method was developed by Tramex for floor installers and technicians to help avoid floor failure caused by dew-point moisture issues.
When installing a floor covering on concrete, perfect in-service conditions are required. Even if impedance and in-situ tests have been performed and yielded desired results specified by the manufacturer, ambient conditions may have changed between the time of the last test and the time of installation. These changes can cause dew point and condensation issues that can go unnoticed and result in floor failure.
To ensure successful floor installations, Tramex recommends performing the Flooring Installation Quick Check test to assess that all the necessary requirements are met, right up to the moment of installation. Click here to learn more about the Flooring Installation Quick Check Test.
