Developing modern dynamic moisture meters since 1974
Tramex Meters is the international leader in the design and production of pin and pinless moisture meters, scanners, relative humidity sensors and data logging systems with a reputation for the highest standards in quality and innovation.
Tramex Meters produce the best analog and digital moisture detectors for a range of industries and building material specific industries including
Surveying and Leak Detection
Indoor Ambient Conditions
For G.R.P. and Wooden Boats
Moisture Mapping and Reporting
Our non-destructive moisture meters are accurate, instant, very durable, and designed and calibrated to measure quantitative moisture content measurements in specific materials such as our Concrete Moisture Meters and Wood Moisture Meter as well as moisture readings in and behind a range of building materials such as Drywall, Tile, Plaster and Masonry.
Tramex offers a variety of moisture test kit solutions, aimed at specific professionals in a particular industry. Our moisture test kits provide the tools needed to detect and measure moisture levels at the different stages of the building or restoration process, providing the customer with a complete and comprehensive picture of the moisture conditions in the building and the building materials.
Our heritage in innovation began with our foundation in 1974. Inspired by our experience and knowledge of building moisture inspection, and working closely with one of the world’s leading research-intensive universities, we invented, patented and developed the first ever non-destructive moisture meter and continue to be on the cutting edge of moisture detection.
In this video, we learn how to turn the Beeper on and off on the Tramex Moisture Encounter 5 (ME5).
When using a Tramex Concrete Moisture Meter on clean new concrete 4.5% MC is considered "dry" in most conditions. In drier conditions, 4% MC is considered "dry". In Desert conditions generally, 3.5% is considered "dry". These numbers are %MC numbers on our Concrete Moisture Meters that are Calibrated specifically for concrete based on Gravimetric testing.
When doing a moisture survey with the Tramex meter it's a good practice to regularly check the calibration of the meter before you begin your survey.
